Astrobiology Summer School 2018

The Astrobiology Summer School/Workshop "Microsatellites in planetary and atmospheric research" is being held from August 6th to August 11th 2018 in Tartu, Estonia.

The event is aimed for graduate students and early career scientists in fields relevant to astrochemistry and astrobiology. The event is open to applicants from all nationalities.

Deadline for application is 31 May 2018.

The course will consist of lectures by leading scientists, planning of a micro- or nanosatellite project in small groups as well as open discussions. Participants will also have the possibility to display their own research results in a poster session. Furthermore, a half-day excursion to interesting sites in the area (Ice Age Museum, Lake Peipus) and a walk in Tartu are included as a social programme. The Stockholm University Astrobiology Centre, the University of Tartu Tartu Observatory (Tartu Observatoorium) and Institute of Geology (Geoloogia osakond - Tartu Ülikool), the European Astrobiology Campus (Europeen Astrobiology Campus), and the Nordic Network of Astrobiology will function as co-organisers of the course.
